International schools

Practical support for school leaders managing institutional quality, preparation and international relationships. IESG works around the school and provision concerned, the people responsible and the evidence needed to carry out the task.

Discuss school quality support

Begin with the school and its priorities

A school may need to coordinate evidence across departments, review an internal process or prepare an ICEQC application. It may also be considering a recruitment relationship or a programme offered with another institution.

These activities have different purposes. We identify the immediate requirement and the authority needed before combining them into a scope of work.

Whole schools and defined programmes

Explain whether the work concerns the entire school, particular sites or an international programme within another institution. Identify the legal entity responsible for provision and any host, franchise or programme-owner relationship.

A shared public brand does not remove the need to understand different operating responsibilities. A concise school brief helps ensure that the work addresses the provision your leadership team actually manages.

ICEQC application support

Our support route covers preparation and coordination within the applicable authorisation. The work starts with the institution's proposed scope and current stage, then identifies the responsibilities, information and preparation tasks required.

School teams can explore separate pages for scope, evidence, self-review, application coordination and later support. Each explains the practical work without treating it as an official certification decision.

Internal quality and governance work

Some priorities call for an internal improvement engagement. Examples include clarifying process ownership, following up feedback, maintaining institutional records or converting an existing review into a manageable action plan.

The work should identify the issue, the evidence supporting it and the people able to make the necessary changes. A school can commission this service independently of a certification application.

Institutional quality improvement

Partnerships and professional development

A school considering a partner needs an accurate account of the intended activity and each party's contribution. Support can include preparing a brief, reviewing relevant partner information and coordinating discussions.

Where staff need to apply a common process, a focused workshop can address the task using practical exercises. The audience and learning objectives should reflect the responsibilities staff hold.

Information and institutional responsibility

Appoint a coordinator who can connect leadership, programme and administrative teams. For a first discussion, provide the school name, responsible entity, locations, provision and the issue to be addressed.

Please do not send identifiable pupil information or a full school evidence archive with an initial enquiry. Any later document exchange should have a defined purpose and appropriate access arrangements.

Resources for school teams

The scope guide explains how to describe the provision concerned. The evidence guide addresses source records and versions, while the action-plan tool helps assign and review internal work.
